Welcome
My name is Anthony Mcfarlane,(Mac13soul Photographic)
Here’s a bit about me and my photographs.
Well actually it’s a lot about me
When words become unclear, I focused on photographs.
My learning disabilities
Dyslexia is a learning disorder that involves difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words (decoding). Also called reading disability, dyslexia
Dyscalculia is a disability resulting in difficulty learning or comprehending arithmetic, such as difficulty in understanding numbers, learning how to manipulate numbers, performing mathematical calculations and learning facts in mathematics.
People with dyslexia tend to think in pictures rather than words.
there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.”
A Camera can change how you view yourself in the world.
“Through my dyslexia I've have learned that life is a challenge for me and many of us, , rather than being a time to explore, learn, and grow, we are given things to fit into a social system which makes it comfortable for others to understand our disability. That can be stressful and confusing.
Understanding equalities and our diversity is important in how we form our responses to life’s challenges, so we achieve our ambition of becoming successful, socially connected and inclusive participants in life.
photography has made that possible for meIt’s given me the written renaissance to verbally dismiss the grammatically world in favour of a visual world , where it’s only light and dark .So now I would like the opportunity to inspire a generation beyond the labels we or other others put upon us”Using photography as visual therapy .
I live in a world of patterns and images, and I see things that no one else sees.
My photography
I specialises in photography, no label just photography its about telling my story through aesthetics and the elements of composition a subject is an evocative image of simplicity, in which I document the world we live in images are conceived and imagined outside of ‘reality’. My images encompass a huge variety of subject matter, take us out of our comfort zone, make us question what we see, or invite us to enter another realmabstract my photographs aren’t the usual frames of reference for the viewer; they’re not looking at anything immediately recognisable or discernible. This lack of context in which to evaluate my image is one of the reasons why photography can be so challenging and equally enthralling!
My subject matter is often implied or suggested rather than overtly and literallyworks on an instinctive and subconscious level, but more-so with photography When we look at my images we connect on an emotional level and don’t necessarily have a rational or logical response. My images are suggestive rather than direct, mystifying rather than explanatory.
must contain, the humanity of the moment.”
My photographs concerns the various psychological processes that enable individuals to take advantage of being part of a social group. Of major importance to the various social signals that enable us to learn about the world. ... We can learn a great deal simply by observing others.and capturing the deceive moment in which an emotional flicker Dances it’s beautifulness in front of us
Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is.”
The word “jazz” probably derives from the slang word “jasm,”which originally meant energy, vitality, spirit,
academic definition of Jazz would be: A genre of American music that originated in New Orleans circa 1900 (see Jazz timeline) characterized by strong, prominent meter, improvisation, distinctive tone colors & performance techniques, and dotted or syncopated rhythmic patterns. But Jazz is so much more than that. If jazz were a visual expression then this is what it would look like beautiful deep meaningful abstraction of sound
The Exodus story is of fundamental importance to black people, because within it we find a group of people who are enslaved and suffering from both economic and political bondage .series of photographs an artist impression of a modern day exodus

The Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited (BSA) was a major British industrial combine, a group of businesses manufacturing military and sporting firearms; bicycles; motorcycles; cars; buses and bodies; steel; iron castings; hand, power, and machine tools; coal cleaning and handling plants; sintered metals; and hard chrome process.
After the Second World War, BSA did not manage its business well, and a government-organised rescue operation in 1973 led to a takeover of such operations as it still owned. Those few that survived this process disappeared into the ownership of other businesses
Is a visual representation of the many lives and routes a black woman takes to balance her life with her culture,
and asks the question, "has the black woman lost her culture?"Hasher sense of blackness been replaced with the sense of European-ness?"
The lion roars again beginning
Of a new dawn
Stretch yourself out and come into
The new dawn because you are no longer a pawn
The dawn begins and the lion steps out for life to. Begin
With yher beautiful Maine and flowing tail her direction set to make the correction correct
Her head stands proud as she serves
The crown tail in the air proud and fair this lion roars with an amber cheer she fears no one she is tall and
Strong as she strides through the fear because her creative potential is all right there
The lion picks up speed and starts to dream freedom and wilderness await your goal
You are free my lioness to roam and find that magic they call creative time
One more roar to shout your beauty
Then off to the wilderness to make creative beauty

Oh oh oh I walked away and the things I saw made me ethereal

Northern Soul is a style of music with associated dance styles and fashions that developed in the north of England in the late 1960s. In the beginning the dancing was athletic, featuring spins, flips, and drops. The music originally consisted of obscure American soul recordings with an uptempo beat, very similar to and including Tamla Motown, plus more obscure labels (e.g. Okeh) from cities like DetroitBy 1970 British performers were recording numbers for this market, and the scarcity of soul records with the required beat led to the playing of stompers, or records by any artist which featur
Early Northern Soul fashion included bowling shirts, button-down collar shirts, blazers with centre vents and unusual numbers of buttons, and baggie trousers. Many dancers belonged to clubs organized by dance halls and wore club badges issued at each dance. Foremost among the original clubs were those at the Torch in Stoke, Wigan Casino, the Blackpool Mecca, the Mojo in Sheffield, and the Twisted Wheel in Manchester. In later years, Northern Soul became synonymous with the Motown Sound.
I walked with my Nubian queen
And my culture talked to me
The beauty the stillness
The quietness of place
Brought the beautifulness
To my attention
I walked with my Nubian queen
And we reached the top of the
World there I saw the real beauty
Surround myself
In all her splendour the proudness
Of my Nubian queen. Came to life
I Walked with my. Nubian queen
And felt close and warm
Her hands gentle and sweet
And the tighter I held her hand
The more culture I felt
I walked with my Nubian queen
And felt the power of her love
And knew the power of my love
And know that us should love us
My Nubian queen the most beautiful
Of beautiful the most rare of the rarest
The culture of love can only be explained
By this beautiful Nubian queen
Say the word out loud and this Nubian queen
Will give you knowledge and culture
The smell of sunshine
The rumbling in my heart
Oh intake of breathe
I hear them distant drums
That's Africa calling me
Ancestors calling me in
In ancient tongues
Speaking of the past
That's Africa calling me
The dance of the tribes
Flicker through the camp
Fire,haze of durst rising
From the ground as they
Stamp there feet to the
Rhythm of the drums
That's Africa calling me
The air deep with
Culture,heavy with ancient
Rights of passage oh the smell of
My africaness the taste of my culture
That's Africa calling me
I see the Nubian queen
Tall dark,proud
The outline of her body against
The flames of the fire as she moves In tempo to the beat, intoxicating Erotic pulsating
Africa calling
Hear me
Feel me
See me
Want me
Touch me
That's Africa calling me
From inception to the first 10 years is a lifetime of dreams, hopes and ambitions all rolled into one. How to capture the moments of fun, joy, inspiration, fellowship, intensity, thrill and exhilaration on film is truly art... Remembering the moments of incredulity at sharing the stage with international luminaries singing classic anthems of the South African giant Hugh Masekela, classical with Sir Willard White through to UK soul songstress Ruby Turner and a cappella queens Black Voices.
From our home church halls to our home the Town Hall Hall; from Symphony Hall to The Royal Albert Hall the passion and excitement of the Gospel message and style has always been at the forefront of our performances. Whether singing in New Street’s Grand Central Station or Cirque d'Hiver Paris, the challenges and audiences have always produced energy, lifelong bonds and recognition that is truly deserved.
One word?... BOOM!!!
Deep in your “emotional chair , I could feel a sense of sorrow – multiple sorrows. As with all of us, sorrows leave us with scars but I feel that your scars are still like open wounds. They're causing you a great deal of stress and suffering. For sensitive souls, like yours, these psychic injuries can cause a great deal of harm to your happiness and infect your every day life. I sense that you often feel like you're about to lose control – maybe you already have. Gaining a deeper understanding and control of ones emotions is no small task, but it is one I am prepared to help you with.

Benin queen so beautiful and serene you are my majestic queen
Show me the treasure of the beauty and the pleasure and I will
Fashion a world for my beautiful Benin queen
The challenges you face when the crowds look at your face
The story's that you know about your African frow tell
Me to my face what you saw what you faced.
left to grow old with the story's to be told I feel your passion
My Benin queen no one to understand the beauty within the mask
Scream to me your name and show me your Maine let me know the
History of untold silence of your face why I ask why do they not
Let us know the fortunes of you past which went so very fast
My Benin queen alone without your throne they took from your land
And said they were giving you a helping hand
But look my Benin queen your safe from that constant race I've found
You at last
I shall rejoice in your beauty and remember your past

Mirgate Emotions
Migration and refugee movements in the Mediterranean countries have gained unprecedented momentum in recent months. The situation along migratory routes to Europe and within Europe itself is changing faster than ever before. Opinions of all kinds flourish, often without the necessary base of accurate, up-to-date information.
memories of the violence and suffering they witnessed and experienced back home.
First, there's the day-to-day kind of waiting. Stuck within the borders of the dusty 5- square-mile camp, with its rows and rows of tents and trailers "Sometimes we feel like the camp is a prison. It takes 5 months to maybe get just a 1 to 2 day pass to leave the camp, to go to Amman, the capital of Jordan,.
